BILL BUTLER MUSIC SIGNS WITH CHERRY HEART FOR PUBLISHING ADMINISTRATION
(Nashville, TN). Bill Butler Music (BBM) has signed with Cherry Heart Music for Publishing Administration. Effective immediately, Cherry Heart Music will assume responsibility for administering and exploiting the Nashville based music publishing company’s catalog. Founded in 1977 by Hondo, Texas native Bill Butler, BBM has provided songs to some of the most popular artists on country radio over the last 31 years. BBM wrote and published many of George Strait's hits including “Love Without End Amen” and “Baby Blue” and has also provided songs to other talented artists such as Willie Nelson/Charlie Louvin, Bobby Pinson, Mark Wills, Clay Walker, Trent Willmon, Kevin Fowler, Johnny Bush, Shane Minor and Dierks Bentley, just to name a few. In addition, BBM writers garner numerous co-writing opportunities with some of Nashville's top songwriters, including Bobby G. Boyd, Aaron Barker, Kris Bergsness, Bill Shore, David Wills and many others.

Nashville Singer/Songwriter Ty Williams Chosen To Perform "National Anthem" At NCAA Football Showdown
(Nashville, TN).Country singer/songwriter Ty Williams, a veteran of the war on Iraq and member of the New Jersey National Guard, will sing the National Anthem at Rutgers Stadium in Piscataway, NJ prior to the North Carolina vs. Rutgers game on Thursday, September 11th. ESPN's Thursday Primetime football will broadcast the game live in HD to a national television audience at 7:30 PM EST.
In memory of the anniversary of the tragic attacks of September 11, 2001, Rutgers is holding several events to recognize the 4,000 soldiers from the New Jersey National Guard who are protecting our freedom overseas. Mini American flags will be distributed to fans as they enter the gates at Rutgers Stadium. Soldiers from the New Jersey National Guard will present colors while Ty Williams sings the National Anthem and a moment of silence will honor the victims of September 11 prior to the game. Major General Glenn K. Rieth will escort the team captains to midfield for the coin toss and the pregame festivities will conclude with a fly over, weather permitting. At halftime, a video tribute to soldiers deployed overseas will air.

Shelby Kennedy Joins Cherry Heart Music & Entertainment
Kennedy comes to Cherry Heart from BMI, where he held the position of Director, Writer-Publisher Relations since 2005. Prior to BMI, he was A&R Director at Lyric Street Records, where he played an instrumental role in the development of the label’s artist roster by finding their first platinum act, SHeDAISY, and providing A&R direction for the roster which included Rascal Flatts, Aaron Tippin and others. Kennedy also spent ten years at ASCAP as Director of Membership, where he presented Alan Jackson to Tim DuBois, contributing greatly to the success of Arista Nashville. His credentials also include several years as a Song Plugger and numerous production, songwriting and studio background vocalist credits. An accomplished songwriter, Kennedy received an ASCAP Most Performed Country Song Award for writing and publishing Reba’s hit song I’m A Survivor. The title track on the country superstars’ Greatest Hits Volume III album, I’m A Survivor was the theme song for the WB sitcom “REBA” and was also featured in Whirlpool’s national advertising campaign with Habitat for Humanity.
